Talking to Your GP
Talking to Your General Practitioner
It is advisable, although not always essential, to talk to your General Practitioner and obtain a referral letter.
Some GPs are not comfortable discussing cosmetic procedures, but most practices will be able to offer a doctor who will.
Your GP can make sure that, with your permission, any important medical history is passed on to your surgeon.
The GP can also help with any advice and support you may need after the procedure. This will be easier if he/she has been involved with your care from the start.
